Tanya Goad is a compassionate and skilled Temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a unique background that bridges military service and academic excellence. She holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Grand View University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Cardinal Stritch University, reflecting her commitment to fostering both educational and emotional growth.
My Story
Tanya’s therapeutic approach is grounded in client-centered care and evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). She is dedicated to helping individuals improve interpersonal behaviors, reduce mental distress, and build resilience.

Before pursuing her career in mental health, Tanya served six years in the United States Air Force as a Cryptologic Linguist Analyst and Trainer. Her leadership experience included developing and implementing high-standard training programs for the National Security Agency and Air Force Intelligence Agency. This rich and diverse background gives Tanya a unique perspective on the challenges faced by her clients, allowing her to approach counseling with empathy, cultural competence, and precision.
